Two times a year our church holds General Conference. This is a time for people of our faith all across the world to be able to come together whether in person or by satelite to gain guidance and inspiration from the leaders of our church.

We had General Conference this past weekend. The weekend before I was able to go to Salt Lake with my friend and her daughters to attend the Young Womens conference. In our church we have organizations in place for our youth to be able to learn the gospel and grow together. Young Womens is for girls ages 12-18. They meet together each Sunday as part of our church services and also meet for an activity on Tuesday nights.

I teach the 12 and 13 year olds. I love it! My previous calling was Activity Days which was for girls ages 8-11 and I was over the 10-11 year olds. I did this calling for three years.

So all the girls that I had in Activity Days I now have in Young Womens. They are the sweetest girls and I have really grown to love them.

Another activity they do each year in Young Womens is a girls camp in the summer. I never went to one when I was growing up so this will be my first year. I am excited to go but a little nervous. I have heard quite the stories about the pranks that are pulled at girls camp. I'll just have to be sure that I am the one pulling them not the victim.

Anywho...Young Womens conference is a chance for our girls to be talked to directly by the leaders of our church. It was a really neat experience and I am so glad I could go.

Tami, Sadie, Katelyn and yours truly

Our seats weren't together so Tami was nice and let Katelyn and I have the good seats on the floor while her and Sadie sat in the balcony.

Katelyn was one of the girls I had in activity days. I love this girl! She is such a sweet kid. My boys love her too. Especially Karter.

We do a lot with Tami and her girls and the boys have both picked one they are partial too. Karter will go to Katelyn first and Hudson will go to Sadie.

We had a fun girls weekend. We did some shopping at the fabulous Tai Pan and the ever wonderful Ikea. I don't know that those are two stores you should visit in the same day. Talk about an overload!
We stayed up late and giggled and talked. The Sadies shared a bed which got a little interesting the second night as Sadie P. got a little snuggly with Sadie B.

Since I don't have sisters my friends mean a lot to me. I have been blessed with some amazing friends in my life and I am so thankful for them. They are fabulous!
