I have this horrible closet in my computer room. It's always a mess. I like organization and this closet has none of that. I was flipping through a magazine one day and saw a picture of a closet that someone had converted into a desk space. I thought it was a fabulous idea.
Before
After
I love it! I made it super girly and bright. It will be a great place for me to do my coupons and my kids' photo albums. I did it all by myself...and it cost less than twenty dollars. That included all my materials plus some new storage boxes, pencil holder and some decorations that I made myself (thanks to my crafty friends).

We spent the last three days camping in Island Park with some of Karl's family. We had so much fun. It was nice to enjoy the peace and quiet and take a break from the internet, tv and even my cell phone for a few days (that wasn't by choice but was still nice). It's funny how dependant we are on all those things. Karl and I aren't the roughing it type so we stayed in a cabin with full kitchen and bath. Now that's camping! Karl spent a lot of time fishing and the boys and I played in the river. Karl and Karter floated the river one afternoon with some of the family. It's a 2-3 hour float...imagine Karter stuck somewhere for 2 hrs. Karl said Karter had fun and they were surprised by a moose in the river. Karl's family spent two days touring Yellowstone Park but we opted out of it. We decided our kiddos are a little young for that. It was a great time. We will definately do it again.

So....some of you know that Karl has a secret talent. He can sing like Michael Jackson. It is the funniest thing and pretty amazing. I had to literally beg him to do this for me and for some reason he can't do it if he knows someone is looking at him so I wasn't aloud to record his face. Hope you enjoy it. He doesn't break it out very often.
Happy Birthday Hudson!
Our little Hudson is one today. I can't believe how fast the year has gone by. Especially since it's been an interesting and trying one (my mom's accident). Heavenly Father knew it was a time in my life when I needed a sweet little spirit to snuggle with (trying to snuggle with Karter is like trying to snuggle with a pittbull). Hudson has been such a blessing. He is the sweetest little boy and has been our ray of sunshine since he arrived. I am so grateful for the oppurtunity we have been given to have children. It is such an amazing experience.

Happy Birthday Hudson!
My little baby turned one today. I can't believe it. It went so fast. Baaa-waaaaaaaaaa. When Karter turned one I was already pregnant with Hudson. I wonder how I talked myself into that one? None the less we have survived the year...a very trying year at that (my moms accident). We are so blessed to have Hudson in our home. He has brought such a special spirit with him. I can honestly say I have enjoyed almost every minute in his little life. I am so thankful that we are given the oppurtunity to have children. Our two little darlings have brought us so much joy and happiness. I wouldn't trade it for the world...not even on the really bad days.
Here's a few pics of his birthday party with my side of the family. There will be more to come with Karl's side in a few days.

Karter was watching me change Hudson's diaper this morning and this was our conversation.
me: Hudson I didn't know you had poopy pants.
Karter: Why you not know?
me: Because I couldn't smell it.
Karter: I wanna smell it.
me: No way that's gross.
Karter (looking at me like I was dumb): I'm not going to eat it.
Well thank heavens for small favors!

We went took the boys golfing on the fourth of July. It was a lot of fun. Karl golfed, Karter made a good attempt at golfing and Hudson and I lounged in the cart. I forget that you have to load the pics on here in the opposite order so they are backwards.
This was Hudson on about the fifth hole. I had hoped that he would fall asleep so he wouldn't get to antsy.
Karter taking a swing. He was so cute to watch. Karl would put the ball down on the green so he could putt and Karter would pick it up and put it about an inch away from the hole. Then he would hit it in. He made it everytime, that's probably better than I could do. He was so proud of himself.

We went to Colorado Springs, Co to visit my brother Seth and his daughter Maddy. Seth is in the Special Forces and will be leaving for Iraq around the 9th of July so we decided to pack up the family and go. My grandparents drove to Idaho from ND and then rode with us to Colorado. It was a fun trip, a little noisy at times with my darlings but fun. My mom and Sam also rode with us and my dad flew in.
We got the luck of the draw at our hotel they put Karl and I in a room with a sliding glass door that had a rock garden for the kids to play on and the pool right there. It was so nice. The kids ate on the patio everyday and were able to run and play and we could see them and not have to worry about traffic.
We did some sight seeing and hit a few local fun spots. It was so much fun and soooo pretty there. I was amazed. I have been thinking about moving there since the moment we arrived. We went to a place called Santa's workshop. It is a little "village" in the mountains. They have rides, food, shows...etc. It was super cute and fun. The kids had a great time. When we were on our way back to the hotel a tornado warning came over the radio. SCARY! And if you know Karl you know what he was thinking. The worst! Silly guy. He actually held it together pretty good. I was suprised. So we hunkered down in our hotel room watching the news; waiting for the news that we needed to take cover. It never came but we did hear that a funnel cloud had touched down across the street from Santa's workshop just after we left. Wierd.
Seth took us to see Bobby Brown's Bail Bonds. Lol!!!! Karl and I are such dorks! We love to watch Dog the Bounty Hunter. Bobby Brown is a guy that Dog comes to help out in Colorado. We were going to get out and take a picture in front of it but Hudson was screaming so we settled for a drive by and go figure I didn't even think of it 'till now but I should of snapped a pic of the building. DUH!
We had lots of fun and are so happy we were able to have this time with our family. Especially Grandma and Grandpa. Thank you for everything Grandma and Grandpa!! We love you!

Yesterday was our eight year anniversary. It seems like it should be longer. Not because it's been bad. I guess when you get married young you feel like you've been together forever. We've had lots of fun over the years. We've lived in Idaho, Montana, Utah, Nevada and back to Idaho, had eight cars, one motorcycle, two dogs, seven cats, one bunny (lol), countless betas, who knows how many jobs and of course two of the cutest kids anyone has ever seen. I love my Karlie-magarlie so much. He has been a wonderful husband and a fabulous father. I know that I can count on him for anything. Thanks for a great time Kar, heres to eternity!
