We went to the park Friday morning to let Karter feed the ducks. He ended up mostly feeding the pigeons but he thought it was great. In this pic he was walking towards the ducks saying
"b b" that's how he says tweet. He couldn't figure out why they would go the opposite direction though.

Then we went to take him for a ride on the choo-choo aka Trax. He was so excited. When he saw the train coming he started waving and had the biggest look of awe on his face. If only we could of heard what he was thinking.

We took a little round trip ride that was about 15 minutes long. It was perfect. Just long enough for him to have a great time but not long enough for him to have lost interest in the train and want to run up and down the aisles.

We went to lunch at Five Guys Burgers. It was super yummy. Sorry no pic, the food was already demolished before I thought about it. I had eaten there with my parents and my brother Seth in NC but Karl had not experienced it. He was in heaven. Karl lOvEs hamburgers!! And just my luck, right next door was a Nothing Bundt Cake. Ahhh....now I'm in heaven. I haven't had one of these since we moved from Vegas. They are so delish. I'm not a big cake person but dang these are good.
After lunch we decided to head out to IKEA to get some organizers for our new play room. We figured it would be ok because they have a playplace for the kids. Well wouldn't you know our kid was to short. So that meant dragging a two year old around IKEA. If you have never been to an IKEA that is not a place you want to shop with kids. They should have a warning sign out front guaranteeing you that you are going to get lost and it will leave you wondering if you will ever find your way out. Karter did great until we tried to take him away from the toy train set. If you haven't experienced a blow to the head from a wooden train I wouldn't recommend it. Karl took over and I got what we needed and then we bailed.
It was a long trip. I thought it would be nice and relaxing but it was anything but. The kids woke up at five in the morning both days after already being up a few times in the night due to all of us sleeping on a hide-away bed from 1912. EEK!! Hudson was a super grouch which is totally unnormal. I was so ready to come home! But we had a great visit with Aunt Jewelle and Karl and Karter spent Saturday morning with each other at Temple Square. We also had the chance to hang out with some of our old buddies. Thanks Morgie and Jessica!! It was lots of fun to see our kids play together. So all the stress was worth it.
P.S. Karter chewed his binky up when we were in Salt Lake and we didn't have one to replace it with so Karter went without it. We are now "dinky" free. HOORAY!!! The trip was totally worth it to accomplish that.

WE still haven't visited President Hinkley's grave, or been to Five Guys, or to Nothing Bundt Cake, or IKEA!! You guys are a few up on us!

Karter looks like such a big boy with those sunglasses on! And I'm glad you're now bink free! I think I depend on it more than Audrey does. :)

We were thinking maybe we could come up to see you guys sometime in July or August? How do those months look for you? Let us know. And anytime you guys need some place to chill or eat while you're in town you know to who to call!
