I found this post on one of the couponing websites I look at. We don't have a Charlotte Russe in good ole Idaho Falls but thought that some of my Vegas and Ut friends might want to try it out. Good luck!

I am slowly catching onto the couponing craze. I know that coupons save you money but I think they also make you think you should buy the product just because you have a coupon. I have read tons of tips lately and the most common one I see is "Don't buy it just because you have a coupon. It is only a great deal if it is on sale and you have a coupon to add to it." Here are a few of my finds today:
This deodarant was on sale for .99 that's an awesome deal by itself but I had a coupon for .55 off. So that means I paid .45 for a bottle of deodarant. I'm sure it's probably a brand that Karl would rather not wear until he's 75 but who can complain about 3 bottles of deodarant for $1.50 tax included.
At Albertsons I bought 6 boxes of cereal, 3 bottles of juice and a tomato for 15.94. Thats not a smoking deal but still not bad especially for all name brand items. The OJ was free when you bought four boxes of GM cereal and I had a coupon for $1.00/3 plus .75/1. That came out to $2.06/cereal plus -$2.99 for the OJ. I had a B1G1 for the apple juice so it cost $1.25/bottle and $1/2 boxes of Life which came out to $1.50/box.The tomato was the only thing I paid normal price for. With my rewards card and coupons I saved $26.66 YIPEE!!! It looks like we will be eating cereal for breakfast lunch and dinner. Awesome!

We went to a neighborhood Easter egg hunt last week. When we got home I was getting Karter ready for bed and Karl told us to come and look at Sunny. He had obviously been trying to get some of Karter's candy out of his Easter basket and literally got stuck in it. It was hilarious and notice how the face of the bunny is in the right position. Too funny!
Karter has a helmet that he LoVeS! He wears it just about everywhere. Even in public. He wouldn't even take it off to take a nap yesterday. I tried to take it off once he was asleep but he woke up and told me "No!" So he took a two hour nap with a helmet on. Silly kid. It has actually saved him from a few good knocks on the head so maybe we'll keep it on.

We went to the Easter egg hunt in town. It's more like a mad dash to see if you can get an egg or two in your basket before all the parents trample you to "assist" their kids. Karter got a grand total of three eggs. Nice! He was so excited to open them up and see there was a "pecial treat" inside.

This is before the hunt started and Karter was being his usual no picture self. Don't ya love the one glove...Micheal Jackson better watch out. Now if only Karter can inherit his dad's amazing talent of singing like him.

Karl and Karter have spent some time in the yard brushing up on their golf games. Karter is pretty good...for a two year old. He's able to hit the ball a pretty good distance. Karl is so excited for when the boys get older and he gets to have someone to share all of his sports interests with.

Hudson clapping

Hudson has learned how to clap. I know it's not a huge accomplishment but it is so darn cute. If anyone says "yeaaa" he claps. Last night we were singing a song during FHE and Hudson looked up at me and started clapping. It was too funny. He doesn't clap really good until about half way through the video clip. So feel free to fast forward.

A month in a nutshell.

I have had no desire to blog at all lately. I guess we don't have anything interesting going on so there is nothing to share. Here's a little slideshow that pretty much sums up our month. We have had nasty weather....I won't complain to much since my extended family lives in ND. But I think winter is finally going to leave. (said with fingers crossed) I can't wait!
